Packaging is the stage that is thought about last and that the end customer sees first: the box, the way the parts are laid out, the manual, the warranty card, the film. At Convel we package the devices we have manufactured ourselves, on individually agreed terms: from simple packing into bulk packaging to complete sets in retail packaging with accessories and printed materials. Once packaging is finished, the products are fully prepared for distribution and delivery to the end customer.

Scope of packaging

  • unit packaging: small cartons, blisters, packaging with inserts, films and antistatic bags for bare boards,
  • kitting of sets: the device plus power supply, cables, brackets and accessories according to the kitting list,
  • printed materials: user manuals, warranty cards, declarations of conformity, leaflets in the required language versions,
  • labels on unit and bulk packaging: product labels, logistics labels, with barcodes and serial numbers matching the device inside,
  • bulk packaging and pallets prepared to the requirements of the customer’s warehouse or retail chain,
  • protection: seals, films and inserts that protect the goods in transit.

Packing with checks, not by eye

Every set is put together from a list, and before the packaging is closed we check that it is complete and that the label matches the serial number of the device. We record in the system which units went into which bulk carton, so if your warehouse asks where the device with a given number is, the answer is in the ERP and not in a packer’s memory.

Packaging and materials

You can supply your own packaging and printed materials, or ask us to order them together with the components. For a new product we advise which packaging and insert will hold up in transit, and for large runs, how to lay out the set so that packing is quick and repeatable.

Part of a larger process

Packaging is the last link in final assembly, after enclosure assembly, functional testing and labelling. Because it all happens on one shop floor in Warsaw, the product is ready for dispatch on the day it comes off the line, and you receive from a single supplier pallets of devices that need nothing added to them.

Do you only pack devices manufactured at Convel?

Packaging is part of our manufacturing service. For customers we manufacture for, we can also put together sets that include customer-supplied items.

Do you supply packaging?

Yes, at the customer’s request, or we pack into customer-supplied packaging.

Do you prepare pallets to retail chain requirements?

Yes, to the recipient’s specification: layout, logistics labels, pallet protection.

Can I receive a list of the serial numbers in each carton?

Yes, in an agreed format, together with the shipping documents.
